At FONT OFF we are currently Pol Pascual (founder), Anca Braedt-Lautmann and Gabriel Cerdà who are art directors and designers in Barcelona.
It all started with the idea of promoting non-typeables fonts which are those that are impossible to type through a keyboard because they are photographic, or due to their structure or simply because the designer decided that they have to be that way. We then thought to distribute the fonts over the web in (.psd) and (.ai) formats so professionals can use and manipulate them as their wish.
Nowadays there are fabulous sources of non-typeable fonts created by designers and artists from all over the world. This is a trend that is invading the streets, posters, magazines and advertisement… and perhaps yourself have done some non-typeable work - or have in mind doing one, if that the case we invite you to participate by submitting your fonts and selling them through FONT OFF!

FONT OFF will help agencies and design studios to offer a premium quality fonts that sometimes the project is too small to invest time with.
We already know that non-typeable work have been going on for a long time now. Throughout the Design history we will find many examples like letterings, hand-made collages, illustrations and so on, but until now and thanks to our new technologies we are able to be open up to new opportunities.
Why is FONT OFF not free? Designers have worked hard to create their fonts and they should mark their price to protect them from a mass use. We have also decided to set a minimum price.
If everything works out, we will publish a book containing all our designers work... we are excited to see where this adventure will lead us!
